Hands on learning with fire extinguisher hoopla

Abbot Fire Group are pleased to be exhibiting at the Care & Dementia Show, at the NEC 11th – 12th October, for the second year running.

Visitors to the stand will be able to participate in a game of fire extinguisher hoopla. Visitors will be given a hoop with a category of fire on it and have to select the correct extinguisher to extinguish that fire type by throwing the hoop over the relevant fire extinguisher.

Doug Agnew, Business Development Manager at Abbot Fire Group said: “The idea with fire extinguisher hoopla is to engage visitors to the show in a hands on way. People learn by doing and by participating in this game those who join in will able to identify different fire types and the suitable fire extinguisher, for example, water, foam or Co2, to use for the relevant category of fire. Visitors will go away armed with knowledge that could help them react quickly and calmly, should a fire break out in their care home.”

Everyone that takes part in fire extinguisher hoopla will be entered into a draw to win free basic fire safety training, including a practical element, for up to 20 people for their care home. Terms and conditions apply.

You can visit Abbot Fire Group on stand number C60 at the show, so come along and say hello.
