Sizzling free offer for bonfire night Abbot Fire Group is pleased to once again be offering 24 free fire extinguishers for hire to local community or not-for-profit bonfire or firework events.
Abbot Fire Group has run this local initiative for nine years, helping to ensure safety first on bonfire night.
Nigel Walton, Director at Abbot Fire Group said: “I’m pleased be offering this initiative again this year to support local community events. It’s always a pleasure to see people enjoying bonfire and firework displays; however safety is an important part of the celebrations for both the organisers and those who attend. We have had an incident one year where an extinguisher had to be used to extinguish a rogue firework, which demonstrates why we run this offer.”
The extinguishers will be hired for free to the first callers to ring Abbot Fire Group on 01280 824111, just mentioning this offer. The offer is open to those organising a bona fide not-for-profit or community neighbourhood bonfire or firework event.
Abbot Fire Group will discuss the event with the organiser, the likely number of attendees and ensure the fire safety requirements are covered by a suitable number of extinguishers on the night, up to a maximum of 8 fire extinguishers per event.
